Do I need to make an appointment for PCR testing?
No, PCR testing is performed on a walk-in basis from Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. until 13:00 p.m. You will need to bring your passport or ID.
When do I receive the test result?
The test result is given until 20:00 p.m. of the same day, in printed or electronic form.
Is it safe for visitors to enter the facilities of the diagnostic centre?
- The test is performed in a specially designed area
- The staff uses special equipment, according to the relevant instructions
How is the sample taken?
Testing for COVID-19 is done with a nasal swab.
How is the test result given?
- • The test result is posted on the Social Security website (idika.gr), where you can search for it using your TAXIS credentials or Social Security Number (AMKA).
- • For your convenience and in order to avoid unnecessary travel, you can also ask the reception staff to send the result to your e-mail address.
When should I get tested?
- If you have symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, or loss of taste
- After contact with a confirmed COVID case
